Jake Casey Mini Summer Intensive
3-day, Unique Classical & Contemporary Ballet Summer Intensive in San Jose, CA with Jake Casey, Dancer, and Choreographer
Intermediate to advanced level ballet students seeking a highly focused, personal experience will gain new insights and significant dance exposure. Jake Casey will teach and choreograph a new original piece during this 12-hour Master Intensive, Friday, June 16 to Sunday, June 18 at San José Dance Theatre.
Trained at The Rock School for Dance, Jake Casey is a rising choreographer, dancer, former Level 10 U.S. Gymnast, guest teacher at The Rock School for Dance, a professional dancer at Vanemuine Theatre in Estonia and formerly of Cincinnati Ballet.
San José Dance Theatre strives to bring ongoing, high-quality ballet opportunities to the dance communities of the Silicon Valley and greater San Francisco Bay Area. San José Dance Theatre’s Artistic Director, Linda Hurkmans, is a San José Dance Theatre alumni and former dancer with The Royal Danish Ballet. San José Dance Theatre is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

About Jake Casey
Trained at The Rock School, Jake Casey is an up-and-coming choreographer, model, former Level 10 U.S. Gymnast, guest teacher of The Rock School, formerly with Cincinnati Ballet, and professional dancer Vanemuine Theatre in Estonia. He studied at The Rock School for Dance Education and has worked at the National Choreographer’s Initiative. Jake has also guest starred for San Jose Dance Theatre in Paquita Grand Pas Classique in the 2016 Spring Repertory Performance.

Friday, June 16th (2.5 hours):

Please note that if you perform in San Jose Dance Theatre’s Spring Performance 2018, you will be required to pay the Spring Performance fee. Dancers are not required to perform with San Jose Dance Theatre in order to participate in Jake Casey’s Mini Summer Intensive.
