Welcome to San Jose Dance Theatre Academy’s 2024-2025 Term!
At SJDT, we offer a comprehensive range of ballet classes from Pre-Ballet to Pre-Professional levels, catering to dancers aged 5-18.
As dancers progress through our level system, they receive a gradual increase in dance training that is both age appropriate and individualized. Exposure to various training methods such as Vaganova, Cecchetti, ABT, Balanchine, Modern, and Jazz all contribute to a well-rounded dance education. Our commitment to excellence in dance training and performance opportunities will prepare students for collegiate dance programs, a professional career, or to become life-long arts enthusiasts.
SJDT prioritizes the well-being of our dancers by offering strength training, conditioning classes, and injury prevention programs. These initiatives ensure our dancers build the physical resilience and knowledge necessary for a long-lasting dance career.
All academy dancers have the opportunity to showcase their talents in our annual Nutcracker and Spring Show. These productions are the highlight of our dance season, offering students a professional performance experience that celebrates their hard work and dedication.
Join us at San Jose Dance Theatre, where we nurture the love of dance and become a part of our vibrant dance community!
SJDT Studio Company and The Ballet Alliance
In Spring of 2024, SJDT was accepted into the prestigious Ballet Alliance. This national organization of pre-professional ballet schools offers membership companies master classes, scholarship opportunities, performances at professional venues, mentoring, and networking with nationally recognized ballet professionals.
Our Studio Company is comprised of our most advanced students in the Academy and is an invitation-only group of dancers interested in more performance opportunities and artistic development. We will be traveling to Spokane, WA in April 2025 to participate in the annual Ballet Alliance Festival. Please consider supporting these young artists by donating through the link below. Your contributions will help ease the cost of travel expenses to the Festival.
